I am an architect-scholar working at the intersection of computational design, design automation, and the climate-resilient built environment. Trained first in the design studio — B.Arch (NIT Trichy), licensed architect (Council of Architecture, India), M.S. and Ph.D. in Architecture (University of Pennsylvania) — I pair that design lineage with technology and executive leadership at the University of Florida’s College of Design, Construction & Planning, a five-discipline college serving 1,200+ students.

Highlights

  • 11 USPTO patent filings, including 4 granted utility patents automating building-code compliance, zoning review, and flood-hazard mapping
  • 120 peer-reviewed publications, ~7,500 citations (h-index 33); author of The Hierarchy of Energy in Architecture (Routledge); co-editor of Smart Cities (Wiley)
  • Co-led the team awarded the ClimateWorks Foundation’s global Million Cool Roofs Challenge, with awards continuing through 2027
  • Chair, Fenestration Handbook Subcommittee (TC 4.5), ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals
